Independent film & series · Los Angeles
Luxid Productions develops original films and series, supports filmmakers in bringing their projects forward, and represents selected projects at the American Film Market.
We champion stories that reveal overlooked perspectives, explore what makes us human, and open new possibilities, in ourselves and in the world.
About
Luxid Productions is an independent production company founded by actor and creative producer Sarah Demeestere.
Our work begins with a belief: the stories we tell help shape the world we create. Through documentary and fiction, we explore identity, creativity, belonging, and the courage to bring something meaningful into being.
We develop our own projects and collaborate with writers, directors, and producers to strengthen theirs. Our current work spans creative development, project positioning, industry outreach, and AFM representation, with the intention of bringing selected projects into production.
At the heart of Luxid is a commitment to artistic vision, thoughtful collaboration, and the practical work that helps an idea become a film.

Sarah Demeestere is a French-American actor, creative producer, and teaching artist based in Los Angeles. Her work brings together cinema, creativity, and a longstanding interest in human potential.
A SAG-AFTRA actor, Sarah appeared as Stella in Pedro Almodóvar’s The Room Next Door. She holds a master’s degree in film from the Sorbonne and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Through Luxid Productions, she brings that philosophy to filmmaking, championing distinctive voices, nurturing ideas, and helping collaborators move from inspiration to action.
Sarah brings the perspectives of an actor, producer, and teaching artist, connecting character, emotional truth, and the way a project is communicated.
We care about what makes your story meaningful and what it needs to move forward: clear materials, purposeful outreach, and concrete next steps.
Rooted in both cultures, with particular interest in projects that connect people across backgrounds and borders.
We work closely with collaborators to understand their intentions and build an approach suited to each project’s needs.
We are drawn to films that move people, spark curiosity, and deepen our understanding of one another.
